Maynor Ovando

Maynor Ovando has been leading Limosa’s tours to Guatemala for a number of years and is considered one of country’s leading bird guides.

He began birding in 2004 and soon after this, decided to abandon a career as a civil engineer to concentrate on being a wildlife guide.  Since then, he has travelled extensively throughout his homeland in search of birds and other wildlife and has gradually expanded his expertise to also include butterflies and dragonflies.

Maynor is also now involved in training the next generation of Guatemalan bird guides.
