Morocco Trip Report
Limosa’s recent trip to Morocco was a stunning success and included time exploring the High Atlas, Sahara Desert and the coast around Agadir. The trip was deliberately scheduled to not only look for the resident specialities but also migrants heading north and a spectacular range of birds were seen including Egyptian Nightjar, Spotted Sandgrouse, Crowned Sandgrouse, Cream-coloured Courser, Northern Bald Ibis, Pharaoh Eagle-Owl, Blue-cheeked Bee-eater, Levaillant’s Woodpecker, Lanner Falcon, Black-crowned Tchagra, Greater Hoopoe-Lark, Desert Lark, Thick-billed Lark, Temminck’s Horned Lark, Streaked Scrub Warbler, African Desert Warbler, Tristram’s Warbler, Moussier’s Redstart, Atlas Wheatear, Red-rumped Wheatear, Maghreb Wheatear, Desert Sparrow and House Bunting. Not surprisingly, our 2023 departure filled a considerable time in advance of the tour and we are anticipating the same will happen with our 2024 holiday, so to check out the website and read more about this fantastic Spring trip, please click here.
