Tim Langerak

Tim Langerak was born and raised in Woerden, The Netherlands and for his entire life has had an eye for nature.

His earliest wildlife experiences were as a small boy when his grandfather (a former biology teacher) took him on holidays to watch deer and other species, however, from the age of twelve, Tim always took his binoculars with him and started exploring the area around his house and then further afield.

A year later, he joined the NJN (Dutch Youth League for Nature) where he made friends with others who shared his passion from whom he was able to learn a lot.  A few years later, this led to him taking an Applied Biology course in the hope of turning his hobby into a job and he was able to visit corners of the world in a gap year to expand his bird knowledge even further.  This led to roles in Sweden and Mongolia as a volunteer in research centres ringing migratory birds.

Tim  is currently studying Forest and Nature Management to gain an even broader knowledge of various aspects of nature.
