Update II from Limosa's birding trip to Senegal
Limosa's new birding tour to Senegal led by Frank Lambert and expert local guide Abdou is rapidly drawing to a close, however, Frank reports that the trip continues to be highly successful with a great selection of speciality birds being seen since we last posted an update.
Top of the list over the last week has probably got to go to the tricky Quail-plover which the group saw very well within five minutes of arriving at the site where they were planning to look for this speciality.
Other birds which have been seen include Scissor-tailed Kite, White-crested Tiger Heron, White-backed Night Heron, African Finfoot, both Greyish and Verreaux's Eagle Owls and Quailfinch.
Frank reports that Egyptian Plover has proved to be “incredibly tame” as demonstrated by the photos below !!
A full report will be published on our website in due course, however, to read the first update, please click here and to view details of our 2025 departure which is already close to becoming a guaranteed departure, please click here.
