Travel news update

The lifting of the travel ban by the US authorites earlier this week and the recent suspension of the UK government's 'red list' is a major step forward for travel.

With the lifting of the travel ban by the US authorites earlier this week and the recent suspension of the UK government's 'red list' (and the need to stay in a quarantine hotel when returning from certain countries), the return to some form of normality for international travel feels like it has finally taken a major step forward.

Whilst Limosa (and our sister brand WildWings) welcome this change, we have decided to leave it a little longer before we move away from "covid hibernation mode" and begin taking deposits for our trips. Although coronavirus cases currently seem to have stabilised in the UK (albeit at a rather high level), unfortunately, the situation in many European countries is rapidly deteriorating, with countries such as France and Germany seeing a big surge in infections and the highest number of cases for many months.

At the same time, whilst some borders are opening, others either remain firmly closed (eg China) or have closed in the last weeks, with Morocco being the most recent to ban British citizens.

As the health and welfare of our clients is our number one priority, we want to see what happens over the next few weeks before we make the final decision to start taking deposits and running trips.

With good demand for many of our holidays and some already having enough interest to run, we plan to start confirming trips very soon (assuming the virus situation allows) and remain very positive about the chances of our trips to Thailand, Nepal and Jamaica (to name but three) being able to run. We do, therefore, encourage you to register for any trips you are seriously interested in as you will then be the first to know when we confirm these will be able to operate.
