BIRDWALK #110 - Aldeburgh

Find out what was seen on our most recent guided BIRDWALK #110 to Aldeburgh Town Marshes & North Warren RSPB reserve on Wednesday 12 February 2020...

Despite the cold breeze that whipped away any warmth from our tightly wrapped bodies, it was a great day to be out! At least it wasn’t raining and if you got out of the wind there was a touch of warmth in the February sun. Highlights of the morning included three Pink-footed Geese, up to 80 White-fronts and 30 Brents, as well as 250 Common Scoter offshore plus a fly-past adult Gannet and Guillemot. A couple of Kingfishers brightened the first part of the morning, whilst later at North Warren we found the usual plethora of noisy Wigeon, Shoveler, handsome Pintail and Gadwall - at times disturbed by a passing Marsh Harrier - plus a cracking Greenfinch and ten Long-tailed Tits.
