On a glorious day our first BirdWalk of the autumn visited Benacre and Covehithe Broads.  Indeed some might say it was almost too fine a day, as with a light easterly breeze and warm hazy sun there was not much in the way of hoped-for migration. However, there was plenty to see: a fine selection of waders on Benacre Broad included Little Stint, both Bar- and Black-tailed Godwits and a handful of Knot; at least two Kingfishers sat out like jewels in the sun; a late Hobby and early Red-throated Diver; also a fair passage of Meadow Pipits and a single Grey Wagtail flew overhead.
