WHEN TO BOOK

All our tours are limited to small group sizes, so they can fill up quickly - sometimes even before our new brochure comes out. Early booking is recommended since flights and accommodation are much more easily secured well in advance - and also to be sure of space on your chosen trip!

To encourage early booking therefore, we offer Early Bird Discounts - see Discounts & Benefits (at left) or our latest brochure for details.

Single rooms in particular can often be in short supply and among the first to go. So do try to plan and book well ahead if you definitely require one of these.

Last-minute Bookings: We inevitably receive a few unexpected cancellations over the course of a season. So it is always worth enquiring about vacancies on any tour - even those departing in just a few weeks time.


HOW TO BOOK

Booking is easy! Just follow these simple steps:

STEP 1
Check the latest availability via our website or with our office.

We are happy to hold Provisional Reservations made by telephone or email for up to 7 days. After this, we do require a completed Booking Form and deposit to confirm your place(s) on tour. Any unconfirmed space(s) will be released.

Download a detailed Tour Info Pack for your chosen trip by clicking on the Tour Info Pack button that appears alongside every tour. Read the detailed description of the tour you are interested in, together with our General Information and Booking Conditions. These can be found in the footer on every page of this website or are available from our office on request; also in an abridged form at the back of our latest brochure.

STEP 2
Book Online, by Phone or by Post

Book Online via our website, using your debit or credit card to make the deposit payment. It’s quick, simple, safe and secure. Start by clicking the Book This Tour button that appears alongside every tour. Or use the Booking tab that appears at the top of every web page.

Telephone bookings must be confirmed in writing by completion of a Booking Form.

Bookings can also be made By Post. If you have a copy of our latest brochure, you'll find a Booking Form tucked inside. Alternatively, you can print a PDF version of our Booking Form via the website Book This Tour button or Booking tab.

To reserve your place, mail your completed Booking Form to us, together with either a cheque made payable to Limosa Holidays or your payment card details as a deposit.

SAFE & SECURE

If you are Booking Online, your personal information can be safely and securely entered via our website booking form. All online payments are handled via our secure server and payment service providers SagePay, so we don't get to see your card details here. SagePay is fully approved as a Level 1 compliant provider under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). This is the highest level of compliance.

Working in partnership with the major credit card companies, SecurityMetrics Inc. is a leading provider of PCI DSS security solutions. Our website has met and complies fully with the PCI DSS requirements, by passing a SecurityMetrics® Site Certification vulnerability scan, and is tested quarterly by them to ensure that the highest security standards are maintained.

For your own security, please do NOT send your credit or debit card and other personal details to us by regular email. Either post these to us or phone them through to the Limosa office.

PAYMENTS

DEPOSITS
The amount of booking deposit per person is shown alongside every tour.

We accept deposit payments by electronic bank transfer (please ask for our bank details), UK debit card and cheque (made payable to Limosa Holidays and drawn on a UK bank in GB Pounds Sterling).

We also accept Visa and MasterCard credit cards for payment of Booking Deposits only.

[Please note that we destroy all card details once the payment has been processed. For this reason we may need to phone you again for details in respect of second or subsequent payments. We may sometimes require verbal authorisation from you in addition to the card details.]

BALANCE
Full payment of the tour balance is due not later than 12 weeks prior to departure (20 weeks in the case of certain tours such as cruises or those involving rail travel). We will send you an invoice before the balance is due.

We accept balance payments and any additional payments (such as interim flight payments, flight upgrade costs, extra accommodation etc) by electronic bank transfer (BACS), UK debit card or cheque.

We do not accept post-dated cheques.

BALANCE PAYMENTS BY OVERSEAS CUSTOMERS
Balance payments by overseas customers must be in GB Pounds Sterling and may be made by electronic transfer to our bank (please ask for our bank details). Payment may also be made by cheque or bank draft, which must be drawn in GBP and made payable to: Limosa Holidays.

Please note we do not accept cheques on US Banks in US Dollars, nor cheques in Euros or Eurocheques.

CREDIT CARDS

(i) We do NOT accept credit cards or overseas debit cards for balance payments (including any additional or interim payments) from customers living within the UK or European Economic Area (the EEA is the EU countries plus Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway).

(ii) For customers living in North America, Australia and all other areas outside of the UK and the European Economic Area we are able to accept balance payments by Visa and MasterCard credit cards or overseas debit card but with a charge of 2.5% of the transaction amount to help offset card company charges.

LATE BOOKING PAYMENTS

In order for us to guarantee airline seats, hotels etc., please note that full payment is required at time of booking for all late bookings (i.e. bookings made within 12 weeks of departure).

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER BOOKING?

Upon receipt of your Booking Form and deposit we will, normally within seven working days, confirm your booking on the tour and send you:

  • Written Booking Confirmation including the amount of balance due, and the date by which it should be paid.
  • ATOL Certificate (where appropriate)
  • Our latest Tour Info Pack for the trip

Usually about 12-16 weeks prior to departure, participants will receive further tour and travel details, including:

  • Summary letter
  • Final Invoice
  • Travel Info sheets for your holiday destination (outlining climate, clothing, passports, visas, health, recommended books, etc)
  • Limosa Checklist of Birds for the tour
  • Tour Map (where available)
  • Limosa Pen
  • General Travel Advice leaflets

About 2 weeks prior to departure, we will send you:

  • Final Letter detailing joining instructions, flights, hotels, list of participants etc
  • Your e-ticket receipt(s) for flights (where appropriate)
  • Luggage Labels
  • Latest UK Foreign Office Travel Advice

After the tour:

After your holiday is over (usually within 1-3 months), you will be mailed a copy of the leaders’ Trip Report.
