Unless otherwise stated, our tour prices include the cost of Economy Class seats on scheduled return flights from London. Occasionally, we use charter flights or ‘no-frills' airlines, where these offer the best or only service to that destination.

Most airlines now issue ‘e-tickets', in electronic form, rather than paper tickets. We will provide you with a copy of the e-ticket receipt.

An increasing number of airlines - particularly on short-haul flights - now exclude the cost of in-flight meals and drinks, which therefore have to be excluded from the cost of our tour. We'll keep you posted on this so that if no meals or refreshments are provided on the aircraft you can bring your own!

Note that some of our leaders may be based in the destination countries, or may have travelled out in advance of the tour, so may not always accompany the group on the flights.

Interim Flight Deposits

Please note that many airlines now demand full, non-refundable payment of the airfare before they will confirm the booking. Sometimes we need to secure flights several months in advance of the tour departure date, before full payment of the balance is due from you. In these cases we will need to ask you to pay a non-refundable interim deposit, in addition to the tour deposit, in order to secure your flight booking.

'Land Only' Prices

For participants joining a tour from outside the UK, or wishing to join us at our destination, we are happy to quote a ‘land only' price for most tours upon request. We can often assist with alternative flight arrangements to suit particular needs, but please note that these can be more expensive than the group-based fare. If you wish to book a tour ‘land only', please make this clear on your booking form.

IMPORTANT! (i) Note that flight tickets normally need to be paid for upon booking, and that these are often non-refundable. Therefore, if you are booking your own flights for a tour, you must contact us first for written confirmation of the exact details of the tour that your flights must comply with. (ii) If you choose to book your own flights, please remember to satisfy yourself regarding the suitability of ticket cancellation and amendment terms should unexpected changes or enforced cancellation of the tour be necessary due to events beyond our control.

Additional Flights & Other Arrangements

For certain destinations we are able to quote a price that includes flights from a UK regional airport. Please ask for details before booking. We usually charge a £35 booking fee for booking separate (or additional) flights to the main group flights, to cover administrative costs.

For participants who prefer to fly out before the main tour or return afterwards, we are happy to quote for flights, hotels and other arrangements independent of the group. Again, we usually charge a nominal £35 booking fee to cover administrative costs.
